New site for my John Snow Cholera Map data
I’ve finally crossed something off my todo list, after putting it off for years. I’ve created a new site to host the data from John Snow’s cholera map that I digitised back in 2012.
Previously the data was only available from posts on this blog (specifically this original post and a follow-up), and it wasn’t available in modern formats like GeoPackage (for the very good reason that the GeoPackage format hadn’t been invented when I first released the data – according to Wikipedia the first release was Feb 2014).
So, I’ve created a website (in a similar style to my Py6S website) which shows a few images of the data and provides downloads in GeoPackage, GeoJSON, Shapefile and CSV.
I’ve updated my old blog posts to redirect people to the new site.
